There is that integral part of evey child that yearns
desperately for the mother. There is nothing that can fill this void
that nature created for mom. Every child tends to naturally drift
towards the mother. There is no closer substitute for mom. "Give me my
mother, or there will be murder," says every child. Without the mother
several things die a natural death. Many things seem to lose life when
mom is away. Every child knows the love of the mother first before
anything else.
The warmth of the mother surpasses the costliest resource
on the face of the planet. A child fees safe, secured, loved and
treasured when in the warm arms of the mother. Several things happen in
the arms of mom: Hunger ends in the arms of mom. Fear is overcome right
there. Cold ceases in the warm embrace of mom. Sickness and discomfort
lose their grips in the arms of mom. Tears dry up instantly the moment
you are in the succulent arms of mom.
The best restaurant of all time is in mom's arms. The best
music studio ever established is in the arms of mom. The most formidable
hospital in the whole wide world is in mom's arms. The strongest
stronghold ever known to man is right in mom's arms. The best resort in
history is in mom's arms.
Mother matters. Mother matters more than life itself. The
highest amount of terms is shed for mother. No hand can wipe away the
tears for mom like her very own. The hunger for mother cannot be
satisfied. The child asks for mom when he returns from anywhere. Hunger
dissipates when mom is around. There is hope as long as mom is around.
The one person we prefer to share our thoughts, victories and struggles
with is mom. It doesn't matter who is around; as long as it is not mom,
we prefer to wait until she returns from wherever.
The love of the mother is the love of God. The best lover I
know among humans is the mother. We don't care about what anyone says,
because we believe the words and encouragements that come from mom.
Anyone can lie (including dad) but mom never lies; she has never lied.
Her words hold power. Whatever she says remains inscribed on the tablet
of our hearts. Her words echo at the other end and beyond. Her voice
revives the soul. A dying man who hers the voice of his mother can
return if he hasn't gone too far.
When mom is not around, the world literary stops. Nothing
works until she comes back. Nothing is interesting until she is around.
Little is enough as long as it is with mom. We fall sick when mom is not
around for long. Our faculties shut down when mom is taking too long.
Everybody may not be around, but if mom is, she is better than
everybody. How we long for mom!
The 21st Century child is looking for mom. She is not at
home when she returns from school. She is not around when she needs to
be curdled. She is not around when he falls sick. She is not around when
she needs someone to talk to. Mom is not around when it is cold. She is
not around when he is hungry. She is always not around. She is just not
around. He feels lonely among many people. She feels rejected and
unloved with all the people around. When he looks around he sees
everyone else apart from mom. He does what he knows and thinks is right
because mom is not around to dictate what should be done. She cries
every night as she goes to bed without mom around.
He doesn't want a substitute. She doesn't need a
replacement. Nannies are not mom; they cannot be mom. All he wants is
mom. All she needs is mom. "Keep the toys away but give me mom," he
says. "You can keep the gifts but give me mom," she says. We need mom;
not because she is perfect, but because she is mom. We love mom because
she is mom. Tell mom she is all I need.
