Kenneth Omeruo says doctors have advised him to rest during the summer because of a niggling groin injury.

Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo will not be part ofSamson Siasia’s squad for the football tournament of the2016 Olympic Games due to a niggling groin injury.
Omeruo who plays for Turkish side Kasimpasa-on loan fromChelsea- has been struggling with this groin injury and has been advised by doctors to rest this summer.
The means he will have to stay out of the Olympic Games holding in Rio, Brazil.
"The doctor insists I need rest to start next season without injury," the 22-year-old told BBC.
"I feel sad about it as it was another good opportunity for me to represent my country."
The defender who won the 2013 African Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, will be a great loss to the Dream Team VI as they aim to win Gold at the Olympics.
At the age of 22, Omeruo’s participation would have allowed Siasia to add three established Super Eagles (over-aged) players.
John Obi Mikel, Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa have reportedly been picked by Siasia.
